フォーカス Focus

イコライザ画面についてもうひとつ。イコライザはFUNCTIONノブで操作できるのにゲインはノブで操作できないのかな？と思い人がいるかと思います。もちろんできます。それが下の画像にあるフォーカスというやり方です。

ゲインのブロックを指でタッチするとパネルの周囲が光ります。これをフォーカスと呼びます。この状態でFUNCTIONノブを回転させると…、そうですゲインをノブで制御する事ができるのです。右に回すとゲインが上がり、左に回すとゲインが下がる。ノブクリックでリセットです。

細かいレベルの調整はやはりタッチスクリーンだけではなかなか難しいしあまり面白くない。そういった問題を物理ノブで解決するのがGODJの基本設計方針でありiPhoneやiPadのDJアプリとの最大の違いになります。このフォーカスという機能、実はターンテーブル画面にも一箇所あります。探してみて下さいね。

There is one more thing I have to mention in the equalizer screen. You might think that 'Can't I control gain by the FUNCTION knob like I can do for the equalizer?' Yes, you can. That is called 'focus' shown in the image below.

When you touch the gain block, its surroundings are highlighted. This is called 'focus'. In this situation, you can control the gain by the FUNCTION knob. When you rotate the knob clockwise, the gain goes up, when you rotate the knob counterclockwise, the gain goes down. When you click the knob, the gain is reset.

Precise level controls by touch screen is really difficult and not fun. The basic design policy of the GODJ is to solve such kind of issue by physical knobs, and that is the most different aspect from DJ application running on iPhone or iPad.
